Dr. Emel Ege thanked those who contributed to the realization of the congress and said, “I hope that our congress will be a productive congress where ideas are shared, befitting the dignity of the nursing profession, its future perspective, and its belief in science and humanity. In order to achieve the goal of a healthy society; We invited national and international scientists to our congress to share scientific information on topics such as research, exchange, informatics, ethics and care. In order to share new scientific knowledge and practices, we invite you to combine the heritage and cultural accumulation of the past with the present, known to the world as "Mevlana"; "We are happy to host you in Konya, the city of tolerance and love," he said. Our Rector Prof. stated that there is always a need for more work to keep up with the rapid developments in the field of health. Dr. Cem Zorlu said, “Modern medicine both reduces the time required for recovery and increases the chance. Rapid developments in the field of healthcare require all healthcare professionals to reconsider their knowledge and practices. In order to keep up with this rapid change, more work, much more solidarity and quick decisions are needed. In order to be aware of this change, it is very important to follow current information and adapt quickly. "Because time and health are two important elements of life that we only realize the value of when we lose them," he said. Our Rector Prof. Dr. Cem Zorlu continued his words as follows: “Nurses are a professional group that selflessly fulfills its duties in protecting and improving individual and public health, providing patient care with scientific methods, and has adopted the principle of serving society by saying 'people first'. Therefore, they have a responsibility to adapt to change. In this context, Congresses are good opportunities that bring together professional groups where scientific knowledge is shared. I hope that this congress will contribute to the participants both academically and socially. I would like to thank the Congress team who brought together academicians and nurses from various universities, who made this day possible, for taking into account the themes that have become important with the COVID-19 process and today's technologies.” After the opening speeches, the program continued with sessions. The congress, where many important issues in the field of nursing were discussed, ended on September 25. The video link about the congress is given below.
