Kübra İmran Artan gave a conference titled “The Principle of Contradiction and Its Relationship with Other Elements of the Right to a Fair Trial”. She mentioned the following in the conference:The principle of contradiction, which is an element of the right to a fair trial, has been frequently discussed in judicial decisions and doctrine in recent years. Although the principle is quite functional in terms of establishing the dialectical process, which is the basic mechanism of the judicial activity, there are different interpretations regarding its scope and limits due to its poorly understood content in both doctrine and judicial decisions. The fact that the conflict aims at the participation of the parties to the dispute in the judicial settlement process makes it necessary to focus on the concept of party in terms of the scope of the principle. The unique nature of the concept of party, especially in terms of administrative proceedings law, makes it necessary to clarify all aspects of the application of the principle of conflict in administrative proceedings law.
