A social awareness activity was carried out within the scope of "World Autism Awareness Day (April 2)" under the coordination of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hasan Hüseyin Tekin and Assist. Prof. Dr. Salih Karip from the Department of Social Work at the Nezahat Keleşoğlu Faculty of Health Sciences, in collaboration with the Social Work and Interaction Student Community. As part of the activity, an information stand was established to raise awareness about autism, and inclusive social engagement was promoted through interactive activities such as face painting and balloon modeling for students. In addition, students participated in an awareness march organized by the Governorship, contributing to increased public sensitivity and awareness regarding autism.

Within the scope of the event, families of individuals with autism were provided with information and guidance on psychosocial processes, and counseling support was offered. Assist. Prof. Dr. Salih Karip, Coordinator of the Disabled Student Unit, addressed questions from families and provided professional guidance tailored to their needs.

This activity contributes to enhancing social awareness, promoting the inclusion of individuals with special needs, and strengthening community-based social service practices. In line with ethical principles, no visual materials of individuals with disabilities were shared, ensuring the protection of privacy and confidentiality.
