Hypertension is one of the most common public health problems worldwide. The prevalence of hypertension was calculated as 31.5% in underdeveloped and developing countries and 28.5% in developed countries. In our country, the prevalence of hypertension was determined as 25.6%. Early diagnosis of hypertension changes the prognosis of the disease for the better. For this reason, individual awareness of a person for hypertension, which is also within our country's scope of screening programs, is of great importance. According to the results obtained in the TÜRDEP-2 study, it was shown that only 58.1% of 12,578,848 people diagnosed with hypertension were aware of their hypertension before diagnosis. Studies have also shown in studies that the awareness of the country's citizens about this disease, which covers a large part of health studies worldwide and can be easily treated with early diagnosis, is relatively low. For this reason, We set up a stand in Necmettin Erbakan University Medicine Faculty Hospital and advertised hypertension to patients. We redesigned the 5A Rules for Smoke Addiction for hypertension disease and used at communication with patients. We took a poll of hypertension awareness and assessed patients' ambulator artery blood pressure simultaneously. We aim to measure the hypertension awareness of people living in Konya, Turkey, the prevalence of hypertension in Konya province through newly diagnosed hypertension individuals during the study, and to determine the relationship between hypertension awareness and early diagnosis of people in Konya.
