A conversation was held under the moderation of Associate Professor Kübra KÜÇÜKŞEN, Head of the Department of Social Work at our faculty, with Mürsel GÖKÇEN, President of Konya Orphanage Leavers Association, one of our external stakeholders, as a guest. Mürsel GÖKÇEN, who is also an individual who grew up in an orphanage, talked about the changes in the legal legislation in the field of child protection over the years, the rights granted to children raised in orphanages, and his personal experiences. He shared information about the establishment process, service areas and activities of the Association of which he is the President. In the field of child services, the aspects that need to be improved within the current functioning and especially the knowledge and skills that students should acquire as social worker candidates are emphasized. The conversation ended with answering the students' questions and our guest's book recommendations.
