Necmettin Erbakan University Faculty of Law organized an online presentation titled "Black Stains of Our History of Democracy: Coups and the July 15th Coup Attempt" at the Faculty of Law of Necmettin Erbakan University. In the speech, the coups in the history of democracy of the Republic of Turkey and the coup attempt on July 15th, 2016 were discussed. The speakers emphasized that coups are against the basic principles of democracy and cause great harm to the people. The July 15th coup attempt was an attack against democracy in this respect and was repelled with the heroic resistance of the Turkish nation. They also emphasized the need to strengthen democracy and ensure the rule of law in order to prevent coups. Participants emphasized the importance of protecting democracy and making efforts to protect it. The speech ended with questions and answers.
