This conference aims to address climate change, one of the biggest global problems of our time, in all its aspects. The event first explains the fundamental causes of climate change. The effects of human activities such as excessive use of fossil fuels, greenhouse gas emissions from industry, destruction of forests and unconscious consumption habits on the climate system were emphasized. The second section examined the consequences of climate change on our planet. Both environmental and socioeconomic dimensions such as global temperature increase, melting of glaciers, rising sea levels, extreme weather events, decrease in biodiversity, and endangering agricultural and water resources were discussed. In the last section of the event, a solution-oriented approach was adopted and measures that could be taken such as the use of renewable energy, reduction of carbon footprint, sustainable transportation systems, recycling and adoption of nature-friendly lifestyles were shared. At the same time, the importance of increasing individual awareness and creating social consciousness was emphasized. Visual materials prepared within the scope of the event were hung at various points in the Faculty.
