Assoc. Prof. Melike MOLACI gave a speech titled “Emotions in Stoic Philosophy” at 20:00 on Monday, December 18, 2023, upon the invitation of Felsefeist philosophy channel. In the event held online via the Google Meet application, views on how passions and emotions are handled in Stoic philosophy, which emotions are considered harmful, and what should be done to avoid passions and achieve positive emotions were presented accompanied by ancient texts. The event, which focused on the views of late Stoics such as Marcus Aurelius and Epictetus on this subject, continued with the questions and comments of the participants after the speaker's presentation and then ended.
