The members of Meram Vocational School of our university played a friendly match with Konya Amputee Sports Club on December 3, World Disability Day.

The match, which was organized in order to make disabled citizens more visible in society and to raise awareness, was held at Selçuklu Amputee Football Field with the participation of an intense audience.

Speaking before the friendly match, Meram Vocational School Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Süleyman Doğu stated that disabled citizens should take part in every aspect of life and said, "Our disabled people are our crown jewels. We should do our best to improve their quality of life and ensure their participation in social life. We are very happy to be here with them today and play sports. This match was a good opportunity to show that disabled people can do sports and be successful."
