The project for the AIRBUS A320 flight simulator, conducted in collaboration with ARC Simulator and supported by a Kosgeb R&D grant, was successfully completed in just two years. The project was overseen by Assoc. Prof. Fahri ÜNLERŞEN from the Electrical-Electronics Engineering Department and Prof. Dr. Ahmet CAN from the Mechanical Engineering Department. The simulator, designed for pilot training, features a 6-degree-of-freedom electro-pneumatic actuated Stewart platform. This simulator allows pilots to experience a wide range of scenarios they might encounter. For instance, a pilot can taxi from Antalya Airport and land at J.F. Kennedy Airport under various weather conditions. The scenarios even include events such as a bird strike. We congratulate ARC Simulator and our esteemed faculty members for this remarkable achievement.
