Sahlep is one of the indispensable hot drinks of the winter months. This drink, which is especially popular in Turkey, the Middle East and some European countries, is prepared by mixing the powder obtained from the tubers of orchid plants with milk and cooking it. In the winter greeting event organized by the academicians and first-year students of the Food Processing Department Flour and Bakery Technology Program, hot sahlep and cookies were served to our university academic staff, administrative staff and students.
