Raising students' awareness in line with the Sustainable Development Goals is an indispensable part of raising future leaders, world citizens and responsible citizens. These goals aim to achieve social, economic and environmental sustainability worldwide, and education is considered a major factor in achieving this goal. Raising students' awareness of the sustainable development goals makes them more sensitive and aware of environmental issues, inequality, health and well-being. Education provides students with the ability to understand global problems and to find solutions to these problems. Furthermore, students who are aware of the Sustainable Development Goals embrace them as individuals and have the potential to contribute effectively to their communities, policy makers and business. An education focused on the Sustainable Development Goals gives students a greater sense of social responsibility and plays an important role in the process of transforming societies in line with the principles of sustainability. This education increases sensitivity to environmental and social problems and allows innovative ideas and solutions to flourish. 
In order to raise awareness in this sense, the Academic Staff of the School of Foreign Languages, Lect. Samet HASIRCIOĞLU made a short in-class awareness presentation for preparatory students in the 2021-2022 academic year.
