An important seminar was organized in our Vocational School to raise students’ awareness about addiction. At the seminar, Social Service Specialist Betül Palta from Yeşilay Counseling Center (YEDAM) came together with the students and provided comprehensive training on substance addiction.

In the training, topics such as “What is addiction?”, “Who becomes addicted?”, “How is addiction understood?”, “What is the course of addiction?”, “What are addictive substances?”, “What is the role of the family in addiction?” were discussed in detail. In addition, information was provided about YEDAM’s activities, the psychosocial support services it offers and the application processes.

The seminar, which was followed with interest by the students, made a significant contribution in terms of increasing individual and social awareness in the fight against addiction. At the end of the event, Betül Palta was thanked and it was stated that similar awareness-raising activities will continue.
