Innopark Konya Technology Development Zone (TGB), established by Konya Chamber of Industry (KSO) in 2016, ranked first among the 70 Technology Development Zones in Turkey in the Incubation Activity Ranking, according to the results of the Technology Development Zones 2021 Performance Index published by the Ministry of Industry and Technology. The award was presented to KSO Deputy Chairman M. Zahid Çatlı and our Rector Prof. at the 9th R&D and Design Centers and Technology Development Zones Summit held in Izmir. Dr. Cem Zorlu and Innopark General Manager Prof. Dr. Fatih Mehmet Botsalı received it from the Minister of Industry and Technology, Mustafa Varank.   Our Rector Prof. made evaluations after the ceremony. Dr. Cem Zorlu stated that he was proud of InnoPark's success and said, "We are a university that aims to stand out with world-class research, new approaches to learning and teaching, as well as our strong ties with the private sector and public institutions, and always strives to achieve this goal. We are competent, We attach importance to collaborations, especially in application areas, in order to raise graduates who are experts in their profession. We are in a continuous relationship with organized industrial zones and private sector organizations. We are proud of the success of InnoPark, of which we are a partner, and we do our best to achieve success in every field where our university operates. "We will continue our work," he said.   KSO Deputy Chairman M. Zahid Çatlı said that Innopark, which continues its activities in Konya Organized Industrial Zone, plays a locomotive role in the development of the qualified, innovative production capability of the city and the region. Çatlı said, “Established within the OIZ Innopark Konya Technology Development Zone, which is a technological production-oriented technopark whose management consists mainly of private sector representatives and is partnered with 7 universities in our region, implements different working and growth strategies from the majority of other technology development zones in Turkey with these features. Innopark, which received the first place in the TGB with the Best Incubation Activity, the first place in the TGB with the Best Development, the third place in the Early Stage TGB in 2021, maintained its award-winning technopark feature this year and managed to rank 1st in the Ranking of the TGB with the Most Success in Incubation Activities. "The performance of Innopark, which is a relatively new TGB compared to the 70 active TDZs in our country, continues to be a source of hope and pride for our chamber and our region, and for the future of the regional industry," he said.   Innopark General Manager Prof. Dr. Fatih Mehmet Botsalı said, "Innopark, which has become one of the leading TDZs of our country in a short period of 6 years, is working with enthusiasm and excitement in cooperation with all actors of the entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem in line with the wishes and expectations of its partners and stakeholders and its founding vision. "He continues to work tirelessly, tirelessly and non-stop," he said.
