Under the leadership of the Agricultural Community, an important event was organized by Konya Provincial Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency teams in the conference hall of the Credit and Hostels Institution Directorate in Ereğli Campus, with the participation of faculty members and students of Ereğli Faculty of Agriculture and Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. The purpose of the event was to instill disaster awareness in students and inform them about how to act in emergency situations. 

At the event, Konya Provincial Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency teams made presentations about the institution's activities to faculty students. In the presentation, natural disasters such as earthquakes, floods, fires and avalanches, as well as human-caused emergencies such as accidents, were discussed. The teams gave information about how to protect against disasters, talked about the behaviors that should be taken during and after the disaster, and organized practical training on post-disaster first aid practices.

After the presentation, an earthquake drill was carried out with all participants. Participants gained practical experience on how to protect themselves during an earthquake. After the earthquake drill, fire extinguishing training was given. The teams gave information about the use of fire extinguishing vehicles, their types and fire extinguishing techniques. After the briefing, a fire extinguishing drill was carried out with the participation of the students. 

In the last part of the event, the search and rescue vehicle was introduced in the faculty garden. Students had the opportunity to closely examine the vehicles used by search and rescue teams and learn how they work. Such events are extremely important in improving disaster awareness and ensuring that vital information is learned in emergency situations.
