A technical trip was carried out with the participation of the students and instructors of the relevant course in order for the third year students of the Department of City and Regional Planning of our university to see and explore the city of Isparta, which they discussed as a subject within the scope of the applied studio course.
With the trip, it is aimed for students to visit official institutions in Isparta to obtain the data they may need, to visit non-governmental organizations and professional chambers in Isparta to obtain comprehensive information about the city and to experience the urban space.
Within the scope of the trip, the students visited public and private institutions in Isparta and Antalya, obtained the necessary data for their studies and carried out the necessary analyzes. On October 18, Antalya ket center was visited for data acquisition and information meetings from institutions in Antalya. On October 19, an informative meeting on the urban identity, history and development of Isparta province was held with the participation of Prof. Dr. Erkan Polat, a faculty member of the Department of City and Regional Planning at Isparta Süleyman Demirel University. On October 20, a trip was made around Isparta, including the ancient city of Sagalasos, Written Canyon, Kovada Lake and Eğirdir Lake. An information meeting was held on October 21 with the participation of Isparta Mayor Şükrü Başdeğirmen and municipal officials.
