Drama activities and drama provide opportunities to use language actively and verbally, help develop empathy skills, and help express and control emotions. In addition, participating in activities increases the individual's self-confidence.
In order to increase the effective communication of individuals in the class and to benefit from the effects of drama practices on personal development, we conducted an improvisational drama application with first-year students of the Medical Imaging Techniques Program.
In the activity, all students were asked to write 3 sentences randomly and collected in a bag. Then, a location and event were determined and 2-3 randomly selected students were asked to improvise the event. During the reenactment, the event was stopped, a sentence was selected from the bag, and the flow of the event was asked to be changed according to the sentence that came out.
