SDG Gender Equality

The persistence of gender-based inequality and discrimination in all areas of life has caused women to be deprived of their rights. Throughout history, women have not been able to benefit from human rights equally, and in some societies, even their right to be human has been taken away from them. In the world history full of violations of women's rights, many struggles have been made to achieve women's rights. In order to preserve world peace, exercise fundamental human rights and ensure social equality, March 8 was accepted as "Women's Rights, International Peace Day" by the United Nations General Assembly in 1977. March 8 is the name of women's struggle for gender equality. Gender inequality is one of the greatest obstacles to human development, seen everywhere and preventing women from accessing educational, economic, cultural, political and legal opportunities. March 8, declared "International Women's Day" by the United Nations in 1977, is celebrated as a symbol of women's struggle to obtain civil rights in our country, as well as all over the world. Happy 8 March International Women's Day to all our women who add meaning to our lives with their efforts and values, with the hope of reaching the days when there will be no gender-based discrimination, inequality and wars.
