The MetaDipGuard project, developed within the Department of Computer Engineering at Necmettin Erbakan University Faculty of Engineering, successfully completed the final stage of the TEKNOFEST 2026 Blockchain Competition. Entitled 'Transparent Credential Registration in Education: A Decentralized Diploma Management System Based on Blockchain Infrastructure and Meta-Certificates,' the project aims to enhance transparency, security, and verifiability in educational credential management through innovative blockchain technologies. Under the academic supervision of Assist. Prof. Dr. Alperen Eroğlu, the multidisciplinary student team consisted of Şerife Nazlı Ünay, responsible for team leadership and blockchain development; Hamza Ergüven, backend development; Esma Nur Kökören, artificial intelligence; İrem Çelik, frontend development; and Elif Melisa Demir, security and testing. During the competition finals, the team presented its innovative solution to visitors, including Selçuk Bayraktar, Şanlıurfa Provincial Director of National Education Hasan Kökrek, and Director General of Vocational and Technical Education Salih Kaygusuz. The initiative contributed to students' practical engineering competencies, digital innovation, secure educational infrastructure, and the development of transparent and trustworthy institutional processes. The project also highlighted the importance of university-based technological entrepreneurship and interdisciplinary collaboration in advancing sustainable digital transformation.
