We held the British Parliamentary System Debate at Necmettin Erbakan University Konya Rookie Debate Tournament, which we organized on December 9-10, in order to learn opposing ideas, to empathize, to develop in defending our own ideas, and to socialize while increasing our general cultural level.

As in every debate, there are two wings. They are called Government and Opposition, and each wing consists of two teams of two, each with an opening and closing wing. Additionally, speakers learn the topic 15 minutes in advance and prepare in that time. There are a total of four teams in the debate: government opening, opposition opening, government closing and opposition closing. Each of the teams competes with three other teams. Each speaker has a job description arising from the position and must speak in accordance with this duty.
