NEU Publications Participated in the World's Second Largest Book Fair “LBF 2025”

Necmettin Erbakan University (NEU) Publications participated in the London Book Fair (LBF 2025), the second largest book fair in the world. At the fair, which brings together publishers, academic circles and leading representatives of the digital publishing industry from around the world, NEU PRESS had the opportunity to follow the latest developments in the field of university publishing and to evaluate international cooperation opportunities. Our Rector Prof. Dr. Cem Zorlu, Advisor to the Rector Prof. Dr. Ercan Candan, Publishing Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatih Kaleci, Director of the Publishing House and Assistant Director of the Publishing House. Assist. Muammer Köroğlu attended.

During the fair, the delegation held meetings with publishing houses, database providers, distributors and companies offering digital publishing solutions from different countries and evaluated new collaborations. In addition, contacts were made with leading academic publishers such as JSTOR, ProQuest, Edinburgh University Press and University of Toronto Press, and cooperation opportunities were discussed to ensure that the university's publications reach a wider audience in the international academic community.

Turkey's Ambassador to London Osman Koray Ertaş and the accompanying delegation attended the opening of the Turkish National Fair Stand and visited the stand of our University.

Rector Prof. Dr. Cem Zorlu presented Ambassador Ertaş with a gift of newly published books from NEU PRESS. Ambassador Ertaş congratulated our Rector Prof. Dr. Cem Zorlu for the successful work of Necmettin Erbakan University Publications, which took part in the Turkey Stand and made outstanding efforts to represent university publishing, and presented a certificate.

 

New Cooperation Opportunities in International Publishing

 

As one of the most prestigious events of the global publishing industry, the London Book Fair, which paves the way for important collaborations in the field of academic and professional publishing, NEU PRESS representatives held fruitful meetings on joint projects and publishing rights by making contacts with publishing houses and industry representatives from various countries such as Scotland, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada and the Philippines.

 

 

Highlights of the Fair and Future Directions

London Book Fair 2025 attracted 845 publishers from around the world and hosted more than 100 seminar sessions. Topics such as translation publishing, sustainability, copyright, artificial intelligence and digital content production were among the sessions that shed light on the future of the publishing industry.

Necmettin Erbakan University Press had the opportunity to develop new collaborations especially in the fields of international academic publishing, database services and digital library solutions.

In line with the information obtained and contacts established at the fair, Necmettin Erbakan University Press aims to become more effective in the international academic community and to continue its work on international projects in order to achieve a strong position in the field of global academic publishing.

On the other hand, our Rector Prof. Dr. Cem Zorlu and the accompanying delegation, who were in London for the fair, visited the Turkish Ambassador to London Osman Koray Ertaş in his office and exchanged ideas on various issues.
