Head of the Social Work Department at our faculty, Assoc. Dr. Under the moderation of Kübra KÜÇÜKŞEN, an interview titled "NGOs and Volunteering" was held with the officials of You Are Valuable Association, one of our external stakeholders in Volunteering Activities. In the presentation made by Abdürrahim ARSLAN on behalf of the association, information was given about the activities and works of the association. Referring to the importance of non-governmental organizations, Arslan stated that they are an association based on rights advocacy and that they appeal to the disadvantaged segment of the society. Referring to the importance of receiving project support from non-governmental organizations, ARSLAN stated that they carry out projects especially for disadvantaged children, and that the "Let's Sow Hope in the Field Project" was deemed worthy of support by the Embassy and Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, MATRA (Social Transformation) and Human Rights (HR) Programs. Stating that they work with social work graduates in their associations, ARSLAN emphasized to the students of the social work department the importance of taking part in non-governmental organizations for their careers and employment. The event ended with answering the students' questions.
