The prevalence of obesity in the world is increasing and one of the diseases it causes is diabetes. Our aim is to raise awareness in the society by screening for obesity and diabetes. Our activity was carried out in the waiting area of the new hospital building entrance of Necmettin Erbakan University Faculty of Medicine. A stand supported by posters prepared to draw attention to obesity and the risk of diabetes was set up. Information about obesity and diabetes was provided to those who applied to the hospital for any reason and wanted to receive information from our stand. Fingertip blood sugar measurement and weight, fat, muscle and bone mass measurements were made with the Tanita device for those who accepted. The patients' body mass index, obesity degree and diabetes risks were calculated. Those with high risk of diabetes and obesity were directed to the Family Medicine Polyclinic for diagnosis and follow-up. Approximately 400 people applied to our stand, where interest was high, over the course of two days.
