The opening ceremony of the International Cyprus Symposium, jointly organized by our university's Faculty of Social and Human Sciences and Faculty of Political Sciences, was held in a grand manner in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Peace Operation. During the ceremony, detailed information about the symposium's purpose and significance was provided, and the program's content was introduced to the participants. Opening speeches highlighted the historical and political dimensions of the Cyprus issue, discussing its place and impact in international relations.

The event featured presentations by academics, historians, and international relations experts, who shared diverse perspectives and analyses on the resolution of the Cyprus problem. Additionally, on the 50th anniversary of the Peace Operation, special tributes were paid to the soldiers who were martyred during the operation, with moments of silence and expressions of gratitude to their families.
