Students and lecturers of the Department of Food Processing, Flour and Bakery Products Technology Program and the Department of Plant and Animal Production, Medical and Aromatic Plants Program, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Süleyman DOĞU, Assist. Prof. Turan AKDAĞ, Lecturer Asst. Öznur EYMİR and Lecturer. Asst. Hakan VATANSEV participated in the "Organic Agriculture Workshop in Ereğli" organized in cooperation with Ereğli Municipality and Ereğli Faculty of Agriculture of our University. Giving information with the workshop, the Deputy Director of our School, Assist. Asst. Hakan VATANSEV stated that up-to-date and scientific information was shared with the participants, especially our students, by expert speakers on organic agriculture legislation within the scope of the EU and Turkey, cultivation of vegetables and medicinal and aromatic plants in organic agriculture, processing and evaluation of organic agricultural products with up-to-date methods, branding in organic agriculture and ecotourism. After the workshop, following the visit to İvriz Dam and İvriz Rock Monument, an iftar dinner program was organized for our students at Ereğli Municipality Sumer Social Facilities under the guest of Ereğli Municipality.
