The patent bearing the application number '2025/006474' and titled 'ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE-ENABLED AND CAPACITIVE SENSING-BASED SLEEP APNOEA DETECTION SYSTEM' has been registered in the name of Necmettin Erbakan University. It covers an artificial intelligence-enabled diagnostic system for the non-invasive detection of sleep apnoea. It is based on the combined use of multiple sensors (a capacitive sensor, a humidity sensor, an acoustic sensor and a pulse oximeter) which monitor airflow in the mouth and nose region, chest movements, upper airway/larynx movements and blood oxygen saturation. Data obtained from these sensors is transmitted to a main computer via a circuit board and analysed using artificial intelligence to diagnose sleep apnoea. We congratulate the faculty members who contributed to this work.
