Our Rector Prof. Dr. Cem Zorlu, Vice Rector for External Relations Prof. Dr. Mehmet Birekul, External Relations Coordinator Prof. Dr. Fırat Yaldız and Scientific Publications Coordinator Asst. Prof. Dr. Fatih Kaleci attended the ‘Guadalajara International Book Fair’, which is the largest book fair in the Americas and ranks fourth worldwide. After this event, they made various contacts and made important visits within the scope of the Internationalisation Strategy of our University.

Cooperation Agreement Signed with Mexico's National Institute of Public Administration

As part of the Mexico programme, our delegation visited Dr. Luis Miguel Martinez Anzures, President of the Mexican National Institute of Public Administration (Instituto Nacional de Administración Pública - INAP), one of the leading educational and administrative institutions in the country. During the meetings, cooperation opportunities such as student and academic staff exchange, joint projects and training programmes within the framework of Erasmus+ KA171 Programme were discussed. At the end of the visit, a ‘Cooperation Agreement’ was signed to strengthen academic and administrative cooperation between the two institutions.

Return Visit from our Rector to the Ambassador of Mexico

Our Rector Prof. Dr. Cem Zorlu paid a return visit to Murat Selim Esenli, Ambassador of Mexico to Turkey, who visited NEU PRESS at the Turkish National Stand at the Guadalajara International Book Fair. During the meeting, many ideas were exchanged between the two sides and cooperation opportunities were evaluated.

Visit to TIKA and Yunus Emre Institute

Our Rector and the accompanying delegation visited the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) Mexico Programme Coordination Office and met with Fatih Abdi Çetin, TIKA Mexico Coordinator. Afterwards, he visited Yunus Emre Institute Mexico Turkish Cultural Centre and met with Salih Gültekin, the Director of the Centre.

Academic Cooperation Meetings

Prof. Dr. Fırat Yaldız, General Coordinator of External Relations of our university, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Fatih Kaleci, NEU PRESS Manager, made contacts with universities in Mexico to evaluate academic cooperation opportunities. In this context, meetings were held with Liza Monroy, General Coordinator of External Relations at Universidad Panamericana, Prof. Dr. Gustavo Pacheco, General Coordinator of External Academic Relations at Universidad Autónoma de México (UAM) and Prof. Dr. Ana Covarrubias, International Relations Coordinator at El Colegio de Mexico (COLMEX). As a result of the meetings, an agreement was reached for joint studies on many issues.
