Within the scope of Interuniversity Maternity and Gynecology Nursing Graduate Education Activities, on Wednesday, 27.04.2022, Deputy Director of our Institute Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kamile ALTINTUĞ made a presentation on "Pregnancy and Yoga".
Pregnancy is an important period in a woman's life, and physical and mental well-being is crucial for a healthy pregnancy experience. Yoga is an exercise and relaxation practice that can offer many benefits during pregnancy. Yoga can be an effective tool for strengthening the body, increasing flexibility, reducing stress, and promoting mental peace during pregnancy. However, caution should be exercised when doing yoga during pregnancy; It should be done under the guidance of a specialist trainer and with the approval of the doctor. When the right positions and breathing techniques are used, yoga can help relax during pregnancy, maintain physical fitness and support childbirth preparation.
