Faculty of Law, Lecturer Dr. Çağrı Çorlu prepared an informative program for students on the preparation and presentation of the petition. Within the scope of this program, the following topics were mentioned: A lawsuit petition is an official document submitted to the court to initiate a legal process, seeking legal assistance or a decision from the court due to a specific incident, situation, or dispute.

The petition's title should contain an address to the court, and the content should express the details concisely and clearly. This section includes the chronology of events, information about the parties involved, and their requests. The petition must include legal foundations to support the lawsuit. Relevant legal articles, principles, and the legal reasons invoked for approaching the court are included in this section. The requests of both the plaintiff and defendant should be clearly stated in the petition. The expected decision from the court should be specified, supported by reasons. The petition should outline the type and nature of the evidence to be presented. Evidence such as witnesses, documents, or expert opinions is submitted with the petition for use during the legal proceedings. The petition should bear the signature of the plaintiff or their legal representative and be supported by necessary additional documents. Appendices include documents submitted to facilitate the understanding of the case and for use in court. Once the petition is submitted to the relevant court, the legal process begins. Court dates, decisions, and other procedures take place during this stage.
