Every year, in the last week of April, “Primary Immunodeficiency Awareness Week” events are organized worldwide. This year, tree planting events are being organized in our country between April 22-29 with the slogan “A Better Breath for Immunodeficiency Patients”. In this context, with the participation of Necmettin Erbakan University Faculty of Medicine Dean Prof. Dr. Şükrü Nail Güner, our Faculty Members Prof. Dr. Ismail Reisli, Prof. Dr. Şevket Arslan, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatih Çölkesen and Selçuk University Faculty of Medicine Department of Pediatric Allergy and Immunology Faculty Member Assoc. Prof. Dr. İlknur Külhaş Çelik, many physicians and healthcare professionals from Necmettin Erbakan University Faculty of Medicine and Selçuk University Faculty of Medicine, as well as primary immune deficiency patients, a tree planting event was held and a Primary Immunodeficiency Patients Memorial Forest was created. The aim of these events is to increase the awareness of physicians, healthcare professionals and the society about primary immune deficiencies.
Let's not forget that early diagnosis and treatment of Primary Immunodeficiencies saves lives!
