The Publishing Summer School, organized for the fourth time this year in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Konya Metropolitan Municipality, and our University, has begun under the hosting of Konya Metropolitan Municipality Social Innovation Agency (SIA).

At the opening of the program, a short video presentation was shown featuring experiences shared by Emrullah Suvar, Yetkin Karaoğlu, and Münir Ecer, graduates from previous Publishing Summer Schools. Following this, Prof. Dr. Aslı Tunç gave a comprehensive evaluation of the industry with her presentation titled "General Framework of the Publishing Profession," while Asst. Prof. Dr. Sedat Demir shared his knowledge and experiences on editorship and editorial processes with the participants.

The program, which includes 30 young participants aiming for a career in the publishing sector from different provinces of Turkey, continues with a rich content enhanced by workshops, panels, talks, and technical visits. The Publishing Summer School will continue until August 31, 2025, at the Konya Metropolitan Municipality Social Innovation Agency.

The program aims to increase young people's awareness of the publishing field, support their professional orientations, and provide qualified human resources to the sector.
