Search and Rescue Efforts in Debris After an Earthquake
Our first and second year students from the Department of Property Protection and Security Civil Defense and Firefighting Program participated in the urban search and rescue training organized by the Department Head Dr. Lecturer Serdar BÜYÜKİPEKCİ and the Konya Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department. Our students gained good experience by seeing the training program where emergency response processes, safety measures, technical rescue methods and communication skills for injured people trapped under the debris were demonstrated in practice.
Our students' impressions were a great gain for them in terms of their ability to respond professionally to possible disasters and emergencies.
