"Seed bomb with heirloom seeds" workshop at Konya Gastrofest

Eda Güneş, Associate Professor Dr. of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts, participated in the "Gastrofest" organized by the Selçuklu Municipality in September 2025, performing four roles. On the second and third days (September 5-6, 2025), she organized a workshop titled "Seed Bombs with Heirloom Seeds," which highlighted the importance of our seeds in sustainability, and organized activities for guests with the "Sustainable Cuisine Research and Project Group," of which she serves as advisor. These activities emphasized the importance of the kitchen and, by fostering recycling and public awareness, planted seeds for the future to preserve our ancient traditions. Discussions included composting and waste recycling, as well as discussions on the use of local seeds, enriching the soil, and providing information on how to prevent waste and recycle.
