On 03.04.2024, a technical trip was organized for the students of our school's Banking and Insurance Program and Construction Program to visit the stray animal care and rehabilitation center within the Ereğli Municipality in our Ereğli district, within the scope of Volunteer Studies under the responsibility of Lecturer Mehmet Hanifi Yalçın. During the shelter visit, the veterinarian in charge of the shelter gave the students detailed information about the shelter activities and services, introduced the animals in the shelter one by one and showed them around the shelter. During this period, the students carried out activities together with the staff on the feeding and cleaning of the animals in the shelter in a controlled manner and took care of the animals one by one. The shelter visit had many contributions and benefits to the students. In this regard, many gains are aimed with this visit by acting more consciously about each individual's approach and sensitivity to stray animals, about strengthening the love for animals, and about the duties and responsibilities of individuals towards animals. Therefore, it aims to gain detailed information about what information to give to which authorities in case of an emergency about stray animals and to become a more conscious and responsible individual. Technical trips are very important for students to be able to participate in more social activities, to increase their sensitivity towards stray animals and to be repeated at regular intervals in order to become conscious individuals and to be able to engage in different activities, both to strengthen the success of individuals and to become more social and responsible individuals.
