The bone workshop, organized in collaboration between Ereğli Science and Art Center students, Ereğli Health Services, and the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, provided students with hands-on knowledge in anatomy and sustainable biomaterials. The workshop covered fundamental information about the structure, mineral content, and mechanical properties of bone tissue; factors affecting bone health and bone healing processes were discussed within a scientific framework. Furthermore, theoretical knowledge was put into practice through the examination of bone structure using model materials and the presentation of examples of orthopedic applications. Students were informed about sustainable bone substitutes developed with 3D printers. They also gained awareness of interdisciplinary studies in health and science by experiencing the biological and engineering dimensions of bone tissue. This workshop proved to be a productive event that increased young people's curiosity for research and supported applied learning.
