The training content includes a 24-hour lesson plan with 21 expert academicians working in the field, coordinated by 6 different universities. Our trainings were carried out face-to-face at Necmettin Erbakan University between 20-23 MAY 2025 (for 4 days). In line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of our country's Twelfth Development Plan (2024-2028), it is very important to determine how we will approach the environmental and development dimension of sustainability with the basic aim of ensuring the transition to a low-carbon economy that is resilient to the effects of climate change, protecting and managing the environment and natural resources with an understanding of social justice, and increasing the sensitivity and awareness of society towards the environment. In line with these goals and objectives, 3 main dimensions can be mentioned: environmental dimension, social dimension and economic dimension. The subheadings of the environmental dimension include a healthy environment, rational use of renewable resources and protection of non-renewable resources. When the subtitle of environmental protection in the Twelfth Development Plan and the sustainable development goals of the United Nations (UN) are taken into consideration, the need to be informed about the current problems of our age, especially regarding waste, arises. The Zero Waste Project, which is planned to be implemented gradually within the framework of the Zero Waste Management Action Plan covering the 2018-2023 period of the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization and the steps for its implementation throughout Turkey are being taken in 2023, underlines the necessity of creating awareness according to target groups. When the concept of ‘’Sustainability’’ is also examined within the framework of the twelfth five-year development plan (2024-2028), it is seen that; 3.4. Disaster Resilient Living Spaces, Sustainable Environment are included under the main title; - 3.4.5. Protection of the Environment (Articles 865, 865.1,2,3,4.) - Articles 866, 866.1,2,3,4,5,6, - 867, 867.1 and 868, 868.1. Based on the articles - 869, 869.1,2,3 and 870, 870.1,2,3., - 871,871.1,2 and 872, 872.1,2,3,4,5,6,7. and - 873,873.1,2., our project activity has been prepared to disseminate the current best environmental practices regarding sustainable consumption and production, to take the necessary measures regarding the release of all wastes into air, water and soil in order to minimize the harmful effects on human health and the environment, to increase capacity and social consciousness and to create awareness in the fight against climate change.
