A seminar on sustainable living and biodiversity was given to the students of the Department of Medical Services and Techniques. It was explained with examples that Turkey is the centre of origin or diversity of many important cultivated plants and other plant species. In addition, the biodiversity of our country was emphasised by explaining the number and endemism rates of vertebrate, bird, reptile, amfibia and fish species in our country. The importance of the elements that make up the food chain in ensuring the balance of the ecosystem was emphasised. In this context, information was given about the duties of individuals in protecting our national assets.
