A technical trip was organized to Sabri Aksu Stud Farm for educational purposes as Necmettin Erbakan University Konya Ereğli Kemal Akman Vocational School Equine and Horse Training Program. Before the technical trip, students were given preliminary information about the dangers they may encounter in the field. Our technical trip focused on blacksmithing activities. First, a tour was made in the field, and then it was time to play backgammon for blacksmithing practices. First of all, horseshoe types were focused on. Which type of horseshoe is used for which purpose and how to nail it in which situations was explained to the students verbally and practically. Information was given about equine foot diseases and the students were informed about what these diseases were and how to take precautions. Information was given about the post-illness treatment process. Routine horse foot care was focused on and when and how often it can be applied was shared with the students by our faculty members. Opinions were expressed about how important the relationships between farrier, trainer, horse owner and horse caretaker are for the continuation of horse health and how to establish healthy interaction as a team. The subject was discussed in detail from the field experiences and knowledge of our faculty members. Our students' questions and opinions on the subject were received and answered in detail. After the farriery practice was completed, tea and coffee were served to the students to boost their morale, they were given time to freely examine and research in the field, and during this time, the practices that our students had seen and experienced were discussed and their questions were answered. When the time was up, attendance was taken, everyone was ready, and after the necessary procedures were carried out for the safe return of the students, the students left the stud farm.
