A technical trip was organized to the horse harbor operating within Hacı İpek Ekürisi in Konya, Ereğli district. First of all, a healthy trip was aimed by transferring occupational health and safety measures to the students during the activities carried out in the hares. Information was given about the daily activities carried out in the harbors. Students were informed about the working conditions that they may encounter in the harbors when they start their professional life. After being given general information about the work done in the harbor, our students participated in the activities in the harbor by participating in field work. During the technical trip to the harbor, students were informed about the treatment process of a foal with a hoof problem. The pre-treatment approach, the restraint of the foal and the practices to minimize stress in the foal were explained. After the treatment, information was given about the use of medication, exercise and nutrition program. The nutrition program of the stallions prepared for the vaccination season was transferred to the students. In this process, the practices carried out by the enterprise were asked to the hara staff and the deficiencies were conveyed to the students. Information was provided about the pros and cons of the geographical location of the harem in terms of maintenance and nutrition and how to minimize the negative geographical conditions. The differences between the practices between the hara that the students had visited in the past and the hara where the trip was organized were discussed and opinions were conveyed about which practices would be more efficient. After giving information about the importance of paddocks in terms of foal development and paddock maintenance, the opinions of the students about the activities carried out were received and the trip was concluded.
