New technologies, especially the internet, are an indispensable part of daily life in many parts of the world, in the lives of people of all ages. Undoubtedly, if used correctly, it can make life much easier, but if it is not used within the right framework, it carries a risk of addiction. Children and young people who have seen new technologies in every aspect of their lives from the moment they are born and who are not strangers to new technologies carry the risk of addiction. Therefore, there is a need to protect young people from technology addiction and to prioritise prevention studies in this regard. The most important work that can be done on the subject is undoubtedly explaining technology addiction, raising awareness among young people on this issue, drawing the framework of correct technology use, teaching the developmental harms of technology addiction, and knowing the risk factors leading to technology addiction and taking precautions. In this context, the training given in order to raise the awareness of high school students was carried out in a joint plan with the district directorate of national education.
