A seminar titled "Disabled Individual and Family from Gender Perspective" was held by Head of the Department of Social Work at our faculty, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kübra KÜÇÜKŞEN. In the seminar, attention was drawn to the disadvantageous situations experienced by women in areas such as disability, education, employment, roles and responsibilities. In addition, information was given about the attitudes of parents towards the disabled child in families with a disabled child, the burden of caregiving, the basic needs of the disabled individual and his family, the current social service models for the disabled individual and his family, and the presentation was concluded by sharing the results of current research on the subject. The seminar ended with taking and answering the questions of the participants.
