The "Urban Transformation and Sustainable Cities Workshop," which started with speeches by Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin Aydın, a faculty member of our Department of Civil Engineering, TÜBA Full Member, and Coordinator of the TÜBA Environmental, Biodiversity, and Climate Change Working Group, was attended by Sinop Governor Dr. Mustafa Özarslan, Sinop Provincial Director of Environment and Climate Change Salih Livoğlu, representatives of public institutions, researchers, university academic and administrative staff, students, and guests. The workshop, aimed at defining transformation strategies for sustainable cities, addressed topics such as Urban Transformation, Sustainable Cities, Access to Services in Sustainable Cities, Environmental Management, Energy Policies, and Economic Sustainability of Cities. Long-term solution proposals were presented, and existing problems were effectively addressed.
