Internet addiction is an increasingly common problem, especially among children and adolescents, and home visits can be an effective tool in preventing this addiction. Home visits provide health professionals with the opportunity to closely observe the child or adolescent’s daily life, family dynamics, and digital media usage habits. Face-to-face communication with family members can be used to raise awareness about internet use and provide guidance on setting healthy limits. At the same time, psychosocial factors that may lead to internet addiction in children or adolescents (such as loneliness, stress, communication problems) can be identified during home visits, and early intervention can be made in these areas. Education and counseling provided at home can help families act more consciously during this process and balance their children’s digital habits, thus reducing the risk of internet addiction.
