In the seminar presented by Prof. Dr. Yiğitcan Kaya, diagnosis and treatment methods of vascular anomalies were examined. Vascular anomalies are congenital or acquired abnormalities in the vascular structure. The presentation focused on two main groups: vascular tumors and vascular malformations.

In vascular tumors, common and rare types such as hemangiomas and kaposiformhemangioendothelioma were emphasized. Hemangiomas are benign tumors that usually regress spontaneously. However, rare types such as kaposiformhemangioendothelioma can lead to serious complications. Appropriate imaging techniques and surgical interventions play an important role in their diagnosis and treatment.

Within the scope of vascular malformations, arteriovenous malformations (AVM), lymphatic malformations and venous malformations were discussed in detail. In AVMs, it is important to formulate a treatment plan considering the risk of bleeding. In lymphatic and venous malformations, sclerotherapy and surgical interventions are frequently preferred treatment options.

The seminar provided participants with a comprehensive overview to understand the complexity of vascular anomalies and treatment options. Post-presentation feedback indicates that the seminar was very useful to enhance the knowledge and experience of the participants.

Feedback:

Participants reported that the seminar was very informative and gave them new perspectives on clinical practice. In particular, the presentations on rare vascular tumors and malformations were of great interest.- Plastic Surgery
