Süleyman Arslantaş, one of the faculty members of the Faculty of Education, held a meaningful workshop with the volunteers of Meram Life Support Centre for Individuals with Down Syndrome (Meram DOSD). The workshop, organised with the theme of "Volunteering and Cooperation", provided both theoretical and practical information to the participants on the importance of the concept of volunteering and effective cooperation strategies.
The workshop was held in an interactive environment in which the participants actively participated. Topics such as the contributions of volunteering to society, the benefits it provides to the personal development of individuals and the importance of communication skills in teamwork were emphasised. In addition, participants were encouraged to share their experiences on volunteering through group work and practical activities.
In his speech at the workshop, Süleyman Arslantaş stated that the widespread awareness of volunteering will increase social solidarity and contribute to the establishment of a stronger social bond between individuals. At the end of the event, Meram DOSD volunteers thanked Süleyman Arslantaş for organising the event, wishing to continue such activities with different projects.
The workshop received full marks from the participants as an awareness-raising event that draws attention to the importance of volunteering.
