Our Faculty of Mathematics Education Department Associate Professor Dr. İbrahim Çetin will meet with Tedem College Selçuklu Campus Middle School students on March 14, 2025, at 2:30 p.m. to tell the story of the “Pi Number,” one of the most fascinating and universal symbols in mathematics. The event will offer a broad perspective, ranging from the birth of mathematics to the mathematical order in the creation of the universe, and from the historical development of Pi to examples encountered in daily life.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. İbrahim Çetin will share with students, through an interactive presentation, that Pi is not just a number; it is one of the most impressive mathematical constants in human history, with traces in art, nature, engineering, and technology. The event aims to increase students' interest in mathematics, develop their analytical thinking skills, and make them aware of the aesthetic side of science.
We invite all math lovers to this meaningful gathering, which will offer an enjoyable journey into the mysterious world of mathematics.
