The event was hosted by the Police Academy, with the support of the Ministry of Interior, the General Directorate of Security and the Department of Combating Narcotic Crimes, on 22.09.2022 at the Ankara Police Academy Anıttepe Campus. The workshop started with the explanation of the activities of the institutions responsible for the fight against drugs by the officials of the General Directorate of Security and the Gendarmerie General Command. Then, within the framework of the activities of institutions fighting against drugs, relevant officials from the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of National Education and the Ministry of Family and Social Services gave information about their institutions. In the third session, forensic scientific approaches in the fight against drugs were discussed and expert forensic scientists talked about the role of forensic science in the fight against drugs. In the last session of the workshop, the social and psychological dimensions of the fight against drugs were discussed by experts in the field. Necmettin Erbakan University Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities Department of Psychology faculty members Dr. Instructor Mehmet Kavaklı talked about the struggle with substance addiction in the context of unmet psychological needs.
