On behalf of our Faculty of Science, we celebrate World Bicycle Day, declared by the United Nations. We draw attention to this special day in order to remind the importance of bicycles in science, technology and sustainable life.

A bicycle is an important engineering marvel in terms of energy efficiency and dynamics of movement as an applied example of the principles of physics. At the same time, bicycles, which stand out among environmentally friendly transportation solutions, are increasingly finding a place in modern city planning.

On this meaningful day, we encourage all our academic and administrative staff and students to use bicycles.
