During the activity, students were explained in a simple and understandable language what zero waste is, why it is important and how it contributes to the protection of the environment. Examples of how waste can be reduced in daily life have been given; the color codes used in recycling bins have been explained in detail. Thanks to these color codes, it is aimed that children can implement the waste separation process more easily and correctly. The permanence of learning was increased by ensuring that students placed the cards in the correct color and category.
